Tabimi turns the places you go into a personal map that lights up over time. Along the way, Lumi explores, grows, and makes memories with you.
Why we made Tabimi
Most of the world we walk through, we walk straight past. The street on the way to work. A corner of a city we may never see again. We think those places deserve to stay with us.
Tabimi started with a traveller's habit: opening the map in a new place, curious about every street, and wishing the map could remember where the days had gone. It could always tell you where you were. It never showed you the world you had already made.
So we built a map that fills in as you live. Every place you really go becomes part of a world that is yours, one you can come back to whenever you like.
The name says it too. Tabi is the Japanese word for a journey. Mi is borrowed from ami, the French word for friend. Put together, Tabimi means travelling with friends: voyager avec les amis.
Every journey brings us closer.
How your world grows
Your map starts in fog. Walk a street, cross a bridge, land somewhere new, and the fog lifts exactly where you have been. No check-ins, no chores, nothing to tick off. You just go, and the world lights up behind you.
Memories have a way of scattering: a photo here, a ticket stub there, a corner you half remember. Tabimi keeps them where they happened, so a place can bring a whole day back to you, and you can share it with the people who were there.
And it is your world only. Your map lives on your phone, not on our servers, and you never need an account to begin.

It all starts with places you have actually been. Nothing lights up that you didn't walk yourself.

Lumi is curious about the world, nudges you out the door, and grows a little with every trip.

Meet Lumi
Lumi is the companion who comes along: a small white-and-grey tabby with blue eyes, a blue gingham hood and a little travel bag. She has a mind of her own.
Clingy when you rest, independent once you set out. At home she leans on you, begs for treats and wants to go outside. On the road she wanders off, notices new streets, teases you a little, and sometimes decides where you are going next. Every outing fills her energy. When it is full, she finds a treat. Share it with her, and the bond between you grows.
The places you go together become the memories you keep together, and every outfit she unlocks along the way is hers to wear on your map and at home.
