?Why does Tabimi ask for location?

Location is the whole game: as you move, Tabimi clears the fog and reveals where you've been. Your location history stays on your device and is never sent anywhere; only the spot where you keep a sticker can travel with it, and never from inside a privacy zone or while Ghost is on. You can allow it while using the app, or "Always" so your map keeps filling in even in your pocket.

?Why does it ask for the camera?

To turn something you see into a sticker. Only the cut-out sticker is kept — never the original photo. Right after the shutter, a copy may be checked by our servers and then discarded; you can turn this off in Settings. If you save a sticker to Photos, Tabimi asks for add-only access and cannot read your library.

?Does my data leave my phone?

Your map, tracks and stats never do — they live only on your device. What does leave: the stickers you keep, which are backed up to our cloud; a photo you just took, briefly, for the cloud check; anonymous usage statistics, which you can turn off; feedback you choose to send; and downloads of share-card designs. ?How do I back up or move my map?

Your map is included in your normal iPhone backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup). Restoring a backup onto a new iPhone brings your Tabimi map with it — no in-app steps needed.

?How do I delete my data?

First delete any stickers you no longer want in the app — that also removes their copies from our cloud. Uninstalling Tabimi then removes everything else from your device. If you uninstall first, the cloud copies can no longer be reached from the app; email us and we will help where we can.

?Tips for battery

Continuous location uses power. Tabimi adapts its GPS to how you're moving to save battery, but if you want to minimise usage, switch location to "While Using" in iOS Settings.
